It's not much as it's my first week. I'm not in shape. I don't know the market. I wasn't sure about the equipment I was using, so plenty of adjustments made during the day.
I had a lot of down-time. During peak lunch hour, I'd have pings come in one after the other. I wasn't sure...come to think of it, I am not sure about a lot of things. It's not much to cover house-hold expenses. Lesson learned. For this week, I headed back to Southern Cross in Melbourne CBD. I used to have good runs there years ago.
Moving forward, I'll post my weekly earnings from this gig. I also have earnings come in from my youtube channel. The numbers for these are finalized at the end of the month. Below is a screenshot of that channel's earnings for the January 2026.
Doing UberEats is a part-time job -- it helps pay the bills. Doing deliveries on push-bike helps me to lose weight (lost 2kg just this first week), and build up my fitness base for tennis. What I consider to be my main job is growing the business...create content, building an audience. I have two youtube channels at the moment.
I'm not sure how this will turn out. I've had a number of failed businesses in the past. What's different this time is that I wasn't using the power of compounding to work for me. This time around, the business is simple -- shoot b-roll, edit, then publish.
The first youtube channel has been around for more than a year now. I have been consistent with the work. It's not earning much, but if the revenue were to just grow by one-percent month on month, I am happy.
As for the second channel, I have uploaded two videos. It doesn't have any subscribers at this time and I'm ok with that. Soon as I have enough, maybe ten or twenty videos, I will find a way to promote this on social media.
I used to feel bad that doing uberEats didn't pay much. But then I had an insight that it's not the main job. I'm out there doing deliveries so I can shoot videos, and take pictures.
